Zack Trotter
Swimming Coach

Coach Zack is a South Bay native having grown up in Palos Verdes Estates. Zack’s swimming career began at 7 when he joined a local club and began competing shortly thereafter. Zack’s ability in the pool quickly shined though.
In high school, Coach Zack achieved multiple individual championship medals and competed on multiple relay teams in the state finals. His senior year, Coach Zack helped his 4x100 freestyle relay team to a league championship by achieving a 100 freestyle time of 50.4 seconds.
Zack discovered the sport of water polo in elementary school. On the club side, Coach Zack helped his team achieve multiple tournament championships including a 3rd place finish at the national Junior Olympics. In high school, Coach Zack achieved numerous awards for his abilities including multiple tournament MVPs, League MVP, CIF MVPs, most outstanding athlete nomination, and an all-state team selection.
Coach Zack represented the US by competing against national teams from all over the world during tournaments in Canada, Hungary, and England.
In college, Coach Zack continued his water polo career by competing at the Division 1 level for the Pepperdine Waves. Coach Zack helped lead the Waves to a nationally ranked top 8 place finish all 4 years he competed. In his junior year, the Waves achieved a Golden Coast Conference championship and finished 4th nationally.
Outside of the pool, Coach Zack is an attorney with his own law firm, Trotter Law Group. Coach Zack still enjoys competing in water polo at the Master’s level. Coach Zack is currently training for Ironman CA.
